Google Literacy Project

Today, in an ongoing quest to gather and index the world’s information, Google launched the Google Literacy Project, a website that pulls in various Google services in a global literacy campaign.

Comprised of Google Book Search, Google Scholar, Google Video, Google Maps, Google Groups and Blogger, The Literacy Project is intended as a resource for educators and people in general to find and share resources and information to increase global literacy.

The video portion of the project will become particularly interesting as Google succeeds in encouraging educational groups and individuals to create and upload rich media to Google Video, whose main online adversary is YouTube.
